Job Summary:

Under the broad supervision of a college administrator, the employee in this position is responsible for the performance of a variety of complex, timely, and technical tasks associated with the maintenance and updating of the College's Student Information System. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to; Preparing and distributing all special program and cohort academic calendar date along with posting traditional semester calendars to the College website and the College community. This position also oversees all transfer evaluations for the traditional undergraduate population. The Assistant Registrar for Records and Communication also acts as a secondary Designated School Official (DSO), reporting to the US Federal Government regarding the international student population. Additionally, this position is tasked with overseeing the ordering and proofing of all diplomas and certificates

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain the physical and digital records of the Registrar’s Office
  • Coordinates the processing of transfer credit for traditional student population
  • Serves as a Designated School Official (DSO) to back up the primary DSO
  • Maintain the Registrar webpages
  • Assists with Freshman scheduling
  • Manage the diploma distribution process
  • Assists with Commencement activities
  • Other duties as assigned

About Department:

As the official recorder and keeper of student records, the mission of the Registrar’s Office is to provide timely and accurate information to students and faculty regarding these records. The department consists of 13 staff members of which 8 are administrative staff and 5 are hourly support staff.
