Job Summary:

The Student Activities Supervisor, Evening/Weekend Operations (SAS) is a full-time, 12-month position responsible for managing building and office operations during evening and weekend hours in the Office of Student Activities. The Student Activities Supervisor also provides support for programming activities and oversees other administrative projects related to Murray Student Center activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of related experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in the overall management of the Murray Student Center, including coordination and supervision of all evening and weekend events, ensuring proper staffing and policy adherence.
  • Assist in the overall management of the Student Activities Office general and financial operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide on-site evening and weekend supervision and assist in hiring and training of approximately 60 student employees.
  • Provide event setup/breakdown and technical support to activities and internal/external conferences.
  • Assist with campus wide programming such as Welcome Week, Family Weekend, Open House, and Orientation, and major programs such as River Fest, Concerts, Senior Week, etc.
  • Collect, review and input priority points for student involvement into the Student Information Management System (SIMS).
  • Execute and support departmental goals, objectives, and priorities for each assigned service area.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree preferred.

The Office of Student Activities is located at the heart of the Murray Student Center, which brings together all members of the Marist community, provides various student services, and serves as a comfortable place for students to meet, organize, and attend a variety of events. The Office of Student Activities provides support for programming activities and administrative projects at the college and supports student organizations such as Student Government, Student Programming Council, and various other clubs on campus. The Office of Student Activities also handles the organization of various activities, providing comprehensive and interesting on-campus experiences for all students. The Office of Student Activities is composed of five full-time professional staff members and works closely with a variety of student employees.
