Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Development Research, the Assistant /Associate Director of Research, Reporting and Analysis plays an important role in the Advancement team’s overall fundraising efforts. This position will provide performance metric reports, analysis of institutional giving trends, and research to help identify philanthropic prospects.  S/he will develop and maintain reports to track gift officer performance and work closely with the Director of Advancement Services to promote the effective use of the College’s Advancement administrative database (Banner).  S/he will also provide support for work with third-party systems and generate lists and reports as needed for front line fundraisers in all facets of their work.

  

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree along with 3-5 years of experience required, preferably in a higher education setting. Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Must be a team player with the ability to analyze data, solve problems and handle multiple projects at the same time.

Preferred Qualifications:

 Experience with Ellucian’s Banner Advancement administrative system and Evison’s Argos report writer is preferred.

Essential Functions:

  • Work closely with the Director of Development Research to identify, analyze, and evaluate information from a variety of sources to determine a prospect’s financial capacity, philanthropic interests, and relationship to the college.  Research prospect leads from development officers and other sources as assigned.
  • Assist in preparing written prospect reports using accurate, timely, and relevant information to inform gift officers and assist in the qualification, cultivation and engagement of development prospects.
  • Generate key performance metric reports, track gift officer performance, and provide analysis of institutional data to identify philanthropic patterns and giving trends.
  • Generate lists and reports as needed for front line fundraisers in all facets of their work.
  • Work to promote the use of Banner and provide necessary support for third-party software.
  • Other duties as assigned.
