Job Summary:

The Marist College Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP) provides comprehensive services to meet the academic, social, emotional, and career needs of at-risk students. The program strives to successfully transition over 300 Poughkeepsie City School District students (grades 5-12) into graduates who are equipped to handle the rigors of college and the demands of the competitive workforce. Through its granter (the New York State Education Department), the program, in partnership with Marist College works closely with the school district, community organizations and parents.  Marist College LPP delivers research-based programming to students with three full-time staff and one office administrator.  

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in education, counseling, social work, psychology or business.  Three to five years of experience managing program services, budgets and staff supervision. A valid driver’s license is required.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage and evaluate program activities and resources, interact with students, parents, school administrators and community -based organizations. 
  • Prepare grant proposals and reports for New York State Education Department.
  • Monitor fiscal expenditures and manage budget.
  • Develop staff training, supervise and evaluate professional staff.
  • Attend local, regional and statewide meetings/conferences related to the program.
  • Meet with school administrators regarding recruitment, retention and performance of students, school faculty and program needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Microsoft Excel, database management and financial software. Knowledge with grant writing essential.
