Job Summary:

The School of Science invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructors of Biology. The Department of Biology is searching for instructors to teach a class in evolution and social behavior as well as a general class entitled Topics in Biology, both of which are designed for non-science majors (each course meets for two 75-minute lectures per week). The Department is also searching for candidates with a background in cell biology to teach General Biology I.  The successful candidate will join a department characterized by a strong sense of community in which students are the central focus and faculty who are both accessible and approachable.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include an M.A. or M.S. in Biology or closely related field, strong interest in undergraduate education, a commitment to excellence and innovation in teaching, and interest in working collaboratively with others. 

Essential Functions:

The Adjunct Instructor of Biology will be required to teach Sex, Evolution & Behavior, Topics in Biology and/or General Biology I

Preferred Qualifications:

Desirable candidates will have prior teaching experience, especially at the college level.
