Job Summary:

We are looking for a self-starting and innovative Associate Director of Creative Services that is filled with creativity, who knows how to work collaboratively in a creative team that not only brings ideas but knows how to make them come to life. The candidate will have a rocket on their back and can effortlessly juggle left-sided logic and right-sided emotion to develop exceptional and emotion-provoking creativity. The ideal candidate for this role will have an excellent ability to carry out the visions of others, have a world-class visual portfolio, a strong creative vision, and a "whatever it takes" attitude.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of creative experience in an agency-like setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, graphic design, advertising, or communications preferred and MBA a plus
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an advanced ability to present and communicate new ideas
  • Self-starter who thrives in ambiguous environments and adapts easily to change
  • Creative, strategic thinker and problem-solver
  • Able to work under pressure quickly, effectively and efficiently

Essential Functions:

  • Bring a positive and can-do approach to solving large, strategic, and complex problems with simple and elegant design solutions that address project goals & requirements
  • Assist the Directors in managing the brand through other directors on the marketing team and throughout the college
  • Develop and execute brand identity, visuals and messaging across all aspects of our brand experiences
  • Elevate the design aesthetic of deliverables while ensuring brand integrity and consistency
  • Develop and maintain strong, effective partnerships, including external vendors and internal teams to actively promote collaboration
  • All other duties as assigned

The Office of College Marketing and Communications serves as the institution’s central hub of content creation and brand management. The office’s mission is to build national awareness of Marist and drive new student enrollment by strengthening the Marist brand through thoughtful storytelling, editorials, videos, photography, and creative visuals.
