The School of Communication and the Arts at Marist College invites applications for a Visiting full-time Professional Lecturer in Fashion, with a desired knowledge in Digital Fashion software for the AY2024. Primary duties include teaching undergraduate courses from introductory to advanced levels of CAD (Computer Assisted Design), PDM (Product Data Management) and CLO 3D software. The Bumpus Chair is an endowed position in the School of Liberal Arts at Marist College, created to advance study and scholarship related to the Hudson River Valley’s rich history and culture. We particularly encourage applications from candidates with an interdisciplinary approach to exploring the connections among the artistic, economic, environmental, social, and/or political facets of the history of the Hudson River Valley. Successful candidates will have established a distinguished record of scholarly achievement and have a strong interest engaging the wider public through large-scale projects, including conferences, lecturers, performances, and/or exhibitions. The Bumpus Chair receives considerable logistical support in these wider endeavors through Marist’s Hudson River Valley Institute. As the academic arm of the Hudson River Valley Natural Heritage Area, the HRVI maintains a Digital Library and publishes The Hudson River Valley Review.
Assistant Director, Graduate Admission Poughkeepsie, NY
The Assistant Director of Graduate Admission will recruit, counsel and mentor prospective graduate students throughout the enrollment funnel. The Admission Counselor position at Marist College is a dynamic, entry level position that focuses on the engagement and recruitment of prospective students. They reviews applications to the College and engages in active participation in yield activities to ensure the enrollment of an exceedingly talented and diverse class. This position also includes an opportunity to travel to key high schools in an assigned territory and to interact with students, parents, high school counselors, and alumni. Internship Coordinator & Professional Lecturer of Psychology Poughkeepsie, NY
The psychology department in the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Marist College invites applications for the Internship Coordinator and Professional Lecturer of Psychology to begin the fall of 2024. This position places all psychology majors at internship sites and serves as the liaison with all site supervisors. They will monitor all students, and serve as the instructor of record for all sections of internship (PSYC487-PSYC490) and will determine grades of Pass or No Credit at the end of each semester. They provide orientation for students, and supervisors as needed, and insure that contracts have been secured with appropriate supervisors. They work to develop new internship opportunities for our students. We are excited to announce the opening in fall of 2024 of the fully renovated Dyson building which will include multiple distinct psychology labs.
