Assistant Registrar for Records & Communication

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Associate Registrar, the Assistant Registrar is responsible for the performance of a variety of complex, timely, and technical tasks associated with the maintenance and updating of the College’s Student Information System.  Essential duties and responsibilities include preparing and distributing all of the special program and cohort academic calendar dates along with posting traditional semester calendars to the College website and the College Community. This position oversees all transfer evaluations for the traditional undergraduate population.  This position is responsible for maintaining the content of the Registrar’s website and for overseeing the various ways the Registrar’s Office communicates with students, including social media presence.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of directly relevant experience and progressive responsibility.

Essential Functions:

Coordinates the processing of transfer credit for traditional student population by:

  • Evaluating transfer credit for the traditional students and supervising transfer credit posting
  • Coordinating registration for traditional transfer students

Manages and maintains the physical and digital records of the Registrar’s Office by:

  • Publishing the academic calendar and special calendars
  • Maintaining the Registrar Web Pages and social media presence

Provides support to the institution by:

  • Collaborating with the Registrar Team to ensure accuracy and currency of tools used in degree tracking and transfer credit evaluating
  • Researching innovation for work processes
  • Consulting with Deans, Chairpersons, Directors, Admissions, and School of Professional Programs to ensure adequate and timely support to students
  • Assisting with registration, freshmen scheduling and Commencement

Manage LDM and 3rd Party Registration.

Assists in academic compliance reviews for athletic eligibility.

The Registrar’s Office is responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and security of the education records under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
