Marist is seeking a seasoned, self-starting proactive Director of Internal Communications who can tell emotion-provoking stories. This individual will direct and lead college-wide communication strategies including crisis communications, internal communications, reputation management, storytelling, and content creation. This position is responsible for executing and overseeing the writing, editing, and production of crisis and internal communications, as well as optimized content that promotes the Marist brand, strategic initiatives, research, and accomplishments. The ideal candidate will have a “whatever it takes attitude” and be able to quickly develop compelling content and collaborate with team members to implement it across all mediums. This position may include some hybrid/remote flexibility but will be primarily campus-based in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Lecturers are fully integrated into the life of the department. This is a one-year term appointment with an expectation of continuance based on satisfactory performance. Term faculty at Marist are also eligible for advancement in rank after specified time periods. Adjunct Instructor, Market Research Poughkeepsie, NY
The Adjunct Instructor will teach one or two sections of undergraduate-level Market Research. This course focuses on the importance of establishing formal information links between an organization and its markets, and on identifying what those information needs are. Topics covered will include the importance of primary and secondary research in marketing-decision making; sources of secondary data; development of plans for research; selection of appropriate data-gathering methods; construction of data-gathering instruments; development of a sample plan, and analysis and interpretation of the resulting information. The importance and the uses of marketing-information systems within the organizational structure will be stressed. The ethical implications of using humans as research subjects will be considered, as will the need to draw honest and accurate conclusions from sample data. Computerized data-gathering and analyzing programs (such as SPSS or Excel) will be used. Constraints and limitations of using sophisticated research tools in global marketing-research efforts will be discussed.
