The Medical Technology Department’s academic mission is immeasurably enriched by an inclusive community in which diverse perspectives are respected and valued. This position can be either a Professional Lecturer (non-tenure track) or a tenure-track Assistant Professor based on the candidate’s qualifications and interest. Successful candidates should have expertise in and the ability to teach Hematology as well as other Medical Laboratory Science courses, especially an introductory course in Medical Technology. Experience in undergraduate education is preferred. Responsibilities include teaching lecture and lab; facilitating clinical rotations, maintaining a program of scholarly activity (tenure-track position only) and participation in college service.
The successful candidate will join a well-established (30+ years) program that is NAACLS accredited (most recently in 2019) and focused on providing an excellent education for students seeking careers in the medical laboratory sciences. They will also work closely with students, clinical affiliate faculty, and departmental faculty. Prior teaching experience is desirable; however, candidates with promise and enthusiasm for becoming a skilled teacher are strongly encouraged to apply.
