Assistant Professor of History, Latin American Studies Poughkeepsie, NY
The History Department at Marist College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of History with a specialization in Latin American history to begin in August 2023. The successful candidate will contribute to our programs in Latin American & Caribbean Studies and Global Studies. Teaching responsibilities include survey courses in Latin American history, and upper-level courses created by the successful candidate. A secondary focus in environmental studies or Indigenous studies will be considered a plus. Candidates will be expected to teach in our first-year seminar program, and expertise or interest in service learning pedagogy is especially welcome. A strong commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduates is required. Candidates must demonstrate strong or potential accomplishments in areas contributing to diversity, equity, and inclusion as well. This position is part of an ongoing cluster hire, and we will welcome additional new faculty members as part of our Global Studies cluster. These new faculty members will join faculty in the departments of English, history, modern languages and cultures, and political science who focus on Global Studies generally, and Africana Studies and Latinx & Latin American Studies specifically. The position is also part of a major college-wide hiring initiative with the goal of creating a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive institution.

Clinical Assistant Professor, Doctor of Physical Therapy Program Poughkeepsie, NY
The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program at Marist College is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as a member of the program faculty, academic rank and salary and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will join 8 full-time highly dynamic and collaborative faculty committed to creating the next generation of physical therapists by offering the highest standard of excellence in physical therapy education. This is a one-year term appointment with an expectation of continuance based on satisfactory performance. Term faculty at Marist are also eligible for advancement in rank after specified time periods. The full-time 12-month faculty position requires teaching, service, scholarship and mentoring of students in doctoral projects. Priority will be given to candidates with content experience and evidence-based practice in the areas that may include: clinical modalities, cardiopulmonary, physiology, and exercise physiology. Other teaching responsibilities will depend on areas of clinical and academic proficiency.
