The EMT / Security Officer is responsible for providing excellent customer service and focuses on safety and security to all members of the Marist community. This position supports the institutional ideals of excellence in education, a sense of community, and a commitment to service. The EMT / Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of the campus community, remains alert and always engaged, demonstrates an understanding and embraces engagement with a diverse population, and is capable of handling crisis situations by responding in accordance with department standard operating procedures. The EMT / Security Officer is also responsible for responding to on-campus emergency medical calls, conducting scene size ups, performing patient assessments, and providing emergency medical care until advanced life support arrives on scene. |
