HRIS Manager

Job Summary:

The HRIS Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining the HRIS software for the HR department. As part of the HR team, they manage data related to employees, including recruitment, onboarding, compensation, benefits and performance management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in HRIS and HR management, HRIS implementation, and process/system improvement
  • Ability to work with changing priorities and with multiple projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including a high level of attention to detail and active listening skills
  • Ability to work closely and effectively with a diverse group of College administrators, including senior HR, Finance and IT staff

Essential Functions:

  • Provide overall leadership for the Human Resources Information Systems function with a focus on Process Improvement, automated HR reporting, analytics and compliance
  • Serve as subject matter expert and act as a key resource of HRIS systems
  • Conduct and participate in the analysis of workflows and design of functionality and/or improvements to systems, ensuring both process and system requirements are full identified, evaluated, tested and implemented
  • Identify and troubleshoot system issues and work with others (IT, HR partners, vendors etc.) as needed to bring to resolution
  • Assist with people data analytics and reporting capabilities, ensuring systems are optimized to reduce manual reporting
  • Work cross-functionality to understand business needs and provide actionable insights for ongoing customer needs
  • Work closely with payroll, compensation, and benefits team members to ensure accuracy of benefits deductions, status change, compensation, and time/attendance related issues
  • Develop end-user procedures, guidelines, and workflow documentation
  • Work with stakeholders to create, update and oversee processes and workflows for HRIS systems and implement timely updates as changes occur
  • Compiles or assists with acquisition of complex data reports and/or summaries as requested
  • Executes supervisory duties managing the team's HRIS Generalist
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field preferred
  • Experience working in Ellucian Banner
  • Held a previous position that included HRIS duties at a higher education institution
  • Experience with supervisory responsibilities which can include but are not limited to, performance management and goal setting

  • 403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity – Roth option available. Voluntary, up to IRS maximum contribution.
  • Tuition Benefits:
    • Up to 16 undergraduate credits per semester. Up to 18 graduate credit per academic calendar. Eligibility extends to employee, spouse, and dependent children under age 26.
    • College pays 100% tuition only.
    • Eligible dependents may be Reimbursed up to $2,000 per semester towards tuition at another accredited institution.

*Eligibility requirements including waiting periods and/or employee probationary periods may apply at the discretion of the College.
