Job Summary:

This role will involve coordinating and enhancing communication efforts within the DEI office and across various campus entities. Additionally, the Fellow will play a pivotal role in energizing marketing and publicizing efforts for the DEI office while closely monitoring statistical communications to gauge engagement levels. Collaboration with the Office of Marketing and Communications will be integral to ensure alignment with broader institutional branding initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • 1 - 3 years of relevant experience

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate communications activities between the Office of DEI and all campus stakeholders,including schools, departments, offices, student organizations, faculty, staff, trustees, cabinetmembers, and administrators.
  • Participate in organizing and executing special DEI events, meetings, and activities, includingcollecting, editing, and publishing DEI-related news from across campus.
  • Work closely with the VP for DEI to implement the DEI communications strategy, ensuring itreflects the mission and goals of the office.
  • Take charge of managing DEI social media accounts, creating engaging content and fosteringonline community interaction.
  • Ensure that all DEI communications align with the college brand and messaging guidelines.
  • Perform various duties to support the effective operation of the Office of DEI, includingconducting research, composing reports, and maintaining data and records.
  • Collaborate with the VP and executive assistant to review and update the DEI website, ensuringcontent accuracy and relevance.
  • Engage with and mentor student workers and interns within the DEI office throughout the year,providing guidance and support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the DEI office and itsinitiatives.

    • Typical eligibility requirements: 1 year of service and 1,000 hours with Marist College.
  • 403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity – Roth option available. Voluntary, up to IRS maximum contribution.
  • Tuition Benefits:
    • Up to 16 undergraduate credits per semester. Up to 18 graduate credit per academic calendar. Eligibility extends to employee, spouse, and dependent children under age 26.
    • College pays 100% tuition only.
    • Eligible dependents may be Reimbursed up to $2,000 per semester towards tuition at another accredited institution.

*Eligibility requirements including waiting periods and/or employee probationary periods may apply at the discretion of the College.
