The Marist College Teacher Education Department is seeking candidates for the full-time position of Assessment Coordinator & Professional Lecturer to begin in the fall 2025. This position works with the Assistant Dean for Teacher Education to maintain our good standing with the national accreditor, AAQEP, by reviewing/designing assessment tools, overseeing data analyses, and providing annual reports. This is a full-time position with a 24-credit teaching load; with 12-credits of release for these administrative responsibilities. Assistant Professor of Philosophy Poughkeepsie, NY
The Philosophy and Religious Studies Department in the School of Liberal Arts at Marist College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Philosophy to begin in August 2025. Candidates should be able to teach undergraduate philosophy courses at all levels, including Introduction to Philosophy. AOS is Global Philosophy (where by “Global Philosophy” is meant philosophy coming from outside of the “canonical” Western traditions, including, but not limited to African/Africana Philosophy, East Asian and South Asian Philosophy, Indigenous/First People’s Philosophy, Islamic Philosophy, and Latin American Philosophy). The AOC should include one or more of the following: environmental ethics, contemporary ethical theory, philosophy of law, philosophy of race, philosophy of science, and empirical moral psychology. The Department already has good coverage in metaphysics & epistemology, aesthetics, philosophy of mind, contemporary Continental philosophy, ancient Greek philosophy, modern philosophy, social and political philosophy, and logic. Candidates will teach our First Year Seminar course regularly, and candidates will have opportunities to teach courses in our Honors Program. A strong commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduates is required. This position is part of an ongoing cluster hire as we welcome additional new faculty members as part of our Global Studies cluster. These new faculty members will join faculty in the departments of English, history, modern languages and cultures, and political science who focus on Global Studies generally, and Africana Studies and Latinx & Latin American Studies specifically. Coordinator, Office of First Year Programs & Leadership Development Poughkeepsie, NY
Marist College welcomes applications for the position of Coordinator in the Office of First Year Programs & Leadership Development. The Coordinator serves as an integral member of the Student Affairs team on-boarding experiences including orientation, welcome week, program development and the transition of all first-year undergraduate students, including transfers and commuters, on the Poughkeepsie campus. Part-Time Academic Advisor Poughkeepsie, NY
Part of a professional team of advisors housed in the School of Communication and the Arts, this position works predominantly with SCA students to set them up for success in their four years at Marist. The Academic Advisor meets regularly with students to develop the semester schedules and four-year course plans to ensure that pathways are chosen by the end of the first year, and academic and proper degree requirements are met. Academic advisors work throughout the academic year, answering student questions as they arise, assist when a student is struggling in a course, and offer insight and guidance on opportunities to pursue internships and study abroad.
Post Office Clerk (CL-5) Poughkeepsie, NY
Provide customer service to Marist Post Office customers, and process all of the incoming and outgoing mail packages from USPS, UPS, Fed Ex, etc. for the college community, including pick-up, sorting, preparation, and delivery. Work is usually performed independently in accordance with well defined procedures Physical Effort & Work Environment The work requires regular operation of a motor vehicle. The work area involves moderate discomfort and/or risk such as that from moving machinery, occasional work with hazardous substances, or moderate levels of noise. This position involves exposure to outdoor weather conditions including extreme cold and heat, and regular enclosure in a vehicle.  The work may require wearing of protective gear. Campus Dietician Poughkeepsie, NY
The Marist College Campus Dietician provides medical nutrition therapy, nutrition counseling, and nutritional education and programming to promote wellness and enhance student success to the Marist student community. This position is shared between Health Services, Counseling Services and Athletics, and so requires expertise in working with students with acute and chronic health conditions, mental health conditions and eating disorders, as well as understanding and supporting the unique nutritional needs of the Division 1 college athlete. Reporting to the Dean of the School of Science, the Pre-Health Program Coordinator leads the execution of the Pre-Health Program that addresses the needs and promotes the academic success of pre-medical and pre-health students at Marist. Director of Procurement Services Poughkeepsie, NY
Contribute as a key change agent to lead a reimaging of our current purchasing department, to serve as a “center led” resource for the College to realize efficiencies in procurement and purchasing processes. Use data and analysis to provide insight to vendor relationships, assist operational units with RFP best practices and vendor negotiations, and drive down costs through consolidated spend and negotiation of terms. Work closely with leaders across the college to understand sourcing needs, and serve as a resource for RFP development.
