The Marist College Teacher Education Department seeks candidates for the Program Director and Professional Lecturer of Teacher Education to begin in the fall 2025. This position provides coordination for the advanced certification Master of Science in Education (MSED) in Contemporary Curriculum & Instruction Program. This program is offered in two delivery models: as part of our in-house 5-year accelerated program, or in an online asynchronous 16-month program. This is a full-time position with a 24-credit teaching load; 12 credit release for administrative responsibilities. We are excited to announce the opening this fall (2024) of the fully renovated Dyson building which houses our state-of-the-art Teaching Methods Lab with adjoining Maker Space and separate Curriculum Resource room.
Post Office Clerk (CL-5) Poughkeepsie, NY
Provide customer service to Marist Post Office customers, and process all of the incoming and outgoing mail packages from USPS, UPS, Fed Ex, etc. for the college community, including pick-up, sorting, preparation, and delivery. Work is usually performed independently in accordance with well defined procedures Physical Effort & Work Environment The work requires regular operation of a motor vehicle. The work area involves moderate discomfort and/or risk such as that from moving machinery, occasional work with hazardous substances, or moderate levels of noise. This position involves exposure to outdoor weather conditions including extreme cold and heat, and regular enclosure in a vehicle.  The work may require wearing of protective gear. The work area is generally adequately lighted and ventilated, but may involve uncomfortable temperatures at times. Work requires continuous moderate with some strenuous physical exertion including standing, climbing, crawling, and regular lifting of objects up to and occasionally over 50 pounds.
