A nationally recognized leader in international education, Marist University seeks the next director of its Marist Italy branch campus in Florence. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator eager to lead a unique, celebrated program toward new heights of distinction and innovation.
Reporting to the Associate Provost for International Engagement, the Director of Marist Italy will be responsible for fostering continuous improvement and revitalization of current academic offerings (which include four-year degree programs as well as year-long and semesterly study abroad curricula); developing new academic programs in partnership with Marist home campus leadership; and supervising academic and co- curricular program assessment. The Director serves as Marist’s primary liaison to our Italian partner Istituto Lorenzo de’ Medici (LdM), nurturing positive, effective, and culturally informed relations and dialogue.
The Director embodies leadership and takes responsibility for smooth operations of the Florence branch campus as a whole. This work includes ensuring high quality, best practice, and innovative academics, co- and extra-curricular programming, experiential and other high-impact programs, student life, housing, physical and mental health and wellness, risk assessment and crisis management, business operations, and representing Marist effectively within Florence’s international education community and Italy more broadly. The Director is also responsible for developing and elevating strong post-study abroad Italy programming and Florence alumni support on the home campus as well.
BSW Program Director

The Social Work & Sociology department in the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences invites applicants for the position of Program Director for the BS in Social Work & Sociology. This is a full-time tenure-track faculty position for which we will consider ranking at the assistant or associate professor level. The BSW Program Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Social Work & Sociology department. They create all class schedules, hire part time faculty, oversee the BSW budget, work in close collaboration with the BSW Coordinator of Practicum Education, run all department meetings, teach courses, and are primarily responsible for ensuring compliance with our CSWE accreditor. We welcome a leader who is student-centered and embraces the advancement of inclusive practices in the classroom and across the curriculum. The position includes a course release each semester for administrative responsibilities.

In particular, we seek someone with expertise in special education (students with disabilities) who will inspire the next generation of inclusive and responsive teachers.
Clinical Supervisor and Lecturer, MSW Program

The Social Work & Sociology department in the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a full-time Clinical Supervisor and Lecturer to begin in the fall of 2026 for our online MSW program.
Our new online MSW program opened successfully in June 2025 to robust enrollment. We are under review by CSWE and have already completed Benchmark 1 and are scheduled for our second site visit this coming fall (2025).
We are seeking a Clinical Supervisor and Lecturer who will carry a 24-credit course load; the current design for the position distributes 14 credits for live clinical supervision and 10 credits for online teaching. This will require working as a liaison with the clinical sites and determining best methods for supervision (live via Zoom or ability to visit some sites).
This faculty member will provide external supervision to students in practicums that are employment-based. Teaching assignments include teaching two synchronous Zoom seminars related to practicum placements, as well as asynchronous online courses.

We are under review by CSWE, successfully completed Benchmark 1, and are scheduled for our second site visit this coming fall. We are seeking a Lecturer who will carry a 24-credit course load (typically 4 courses in one semester and 4 courses in the other semester) during the academic year. While all courses will be taught in an asynchronous online modality, the faculty member will be expected to be on campus as needed to fulfill responsibilities related to attendance at plenary, School and department meetings; and service obligations (e.g. committee membership). We seek dynamic faculty who model the knowledge, skills, and values necessary for ethical practice.

This position works under the direction of the Associate Athletic Director, External, for coverage of Marist Athletics through writing, social media, stat keeping, website maintenance, and archive work.
