Job Summary:

The Department of Psychology invites applications for part-time, adjunct instructors to teach the Introductory Psychology course.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in Psychology required.

Essential Functions:

Teach content in the field of psychology and assess students by grading assignments (e.g., tests, papers, presentations).

Preferred Qualifications:

PhD and college teaching experience preferred. The ideal candidate must be able to collaborate with other psychology instructors in developing best teaching practices.

About Department, Program, or School:

The psychology department is home to 15 full time faculty as well as several, valued part-time faculty. The department offers an undergraduate psychology major and minor, and supports graduate programs in mental health counseling and school psychology.  The department members have expertise in many domains and work together to create a rich curricular experience for students that includes theory, research and applied fieldwork.

Work Schedule:

We currently seek instructors for two specific sections of PSYC 101L for the Fall 2019 Semester:

MR 8:00-9:15am and/or

MR 9:30-10:45am

In lieu of formal office hours, part-time instructors are expected to make themselves available to students prior to or following class meeting times or by appointment.
