Job Summary:

The Office of International Student Services invites applications for the position of Coordinator for International Student Services.

The Coordinator for International Student Services will oversee various aspects of the international student experience, including the student visa process, advising, registration, and enrollment for international students attending Marist College and for Marist College students studying abroad.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Creates SEVIS documents for F-1 and J-1 students
  • Oversees registration, grading and transcripts for specialized international programs and cohorts
  • maintains course equivalency databases for specialized programs, and overseeing LDM course catalog maintenance
  • Advises international students with relevant academic, visa and employment related information and forms
  • Serves as Designated School Official for F-1 Visa and ARO for J Visas
  • Creates international student I-20’s in SEVIS and maintaining data and reports on this population, including trend data
  • Updates student data in all databases, including advising international students on requirements and documentation for travel
  • Oversees registration, enrollment, procedures, grades and transcripts for the FIE, Discover, and MIP program
  • Collaborates with the MIP office on registration schedules, calendar dates, academic and financial policy deadlines and operational calendar coordination
  • Updates and maintains all course equivalency files for approved courses for LDM, FIE, Discovery, and MIP programs; oversees the LDM course catalog updates
  • Participates in Orientations and workshops for Marist’s international students

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with dealing with academic records is desirable.

The International Student Services Department supports all international students and is responsible for their academic records. This department supports the academic records of all Marist students and studying at our branch campus in Italy and Dublin, as well as any students studying for a semester through Marist College’s abroad programs.
