Job Summary:

The Department of Organization and the Environment and the School of Management invites applications for a tenure track position of Assistant/Associate Professor to begin in Fall 2022. We welcome candidates who specialize in Marketing Principles and Marketing Management. We welcome candidates who will place a strong emphasis on quality teaching in a small classroom setting.  The expected course load for our faculty is 21 credits, typically distributed as a 3:4 course load. Applicants should have an active research agenda that leads to high-quality peer reviewed publications and presentations.  The School of Management’s academic mission is enriched by an inclusive community in which diverse perspectives are respected and valued.

Minimum Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a commitment to excellence in teaching and experience in teaching Marketing Principles (undergraduate) and Marketing Management (graduate) as well as upper level Marketing courses such as Marketing Communication, Market Research, International Marketing and/or Marketing Strategy.  Only applicants with experience teaching one or more of these upper level classes and capability of teaching at least two of them will be considered.

This tenure-track position will require teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels (including on-line courses) as well as maintaining a high level of professional activity through research and service.  A portfolio of publications and active research stream are required.  The ideal candidate will possess an earned doctorate from an AACSB accredited program.

Essential Functions:

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Provide undergraduate instruction in Marketing Principles
  • Provide graduate instruction in Marketing Management, Marketing Communication, Marketing Research, International Marketing and/or marketing Strategy.
  • Responsible for the advisement of students
  • Research productivity
  • Provide service to college, school, and department

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional and industry experience is desirable, and ideal candidates have college teaching experience.

About the Department and School:

The School of Management offers undergraduate degrees in Accounting, Business Administration, and Economics, as well as Masters degrees in Business Administration (MBA), Masters of Science in Professional Accountancy (MSPA), and the Masters of Public Administration (MPA).  The Department of Economics, Accounting, and Finance has seventeen full-time faculty members. The Department of Organization and the Environment has seven full-time faculty members.
