Job Summary:

Marist College Campus Ministry seeks a Christian from a Main Line Tradition (Episcopalians and Lutherans welcome) to organize and promote Christian, Interfaith, and Community Service Activities, as well as retreats. This is a live-on campus position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Pastoral Ministry, or related fields. Pastoral presence and flexibility; willingness to work some evening and weekend hours, experience and enthusiasm for working with young men and women; experience and interest in working closely with individuals of other faith traditions; excellent organization and communication skills, including group presentations.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate Christian student groups
  • Plan and direct Christian worship services
  • Coordinate Women’s small faith groups
  • Coordinate department retreats
  • Coordinate international/domestic service trips
  • Co-coordinate Campus Community Service Day
  • Provide spiritual guidance to students
  • Direct Spring campus clothing drive
  • Outreach in residence halls
  • Maintain a high degree of visibility at campus functions
  • Attend staff meetings
  • Meet regularly with the Director of Campus Ministry
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s in Divinity/Theology preferred.

 The mission of the Department of Spiritual and Religious Life is drawn from its Judeo-Christian roots and the heritage of the Marist Brothers. It is to support the spiritual and religious development of students as they respond to God's presence in their lives.

The Department works to foster a culture of faith for all undergraduate students of all faith traditions by building and nourishing a community of hospitality, prayer, service and education.
