Assistant Director of Student Financial Services

Job Summary:

This position will advise prospective and current students, including Physician Assistant (PA) and Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) programs, guidance personnel, and the general public about options for financing a Marist education. This position oversees the financial aid and packaging for the PA & DPT programs and manages the Financial Literacy program. They will also oversee educational benefits, reconsiderations, and the transfer population.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of related work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee all financial aid aspects of the Physician Assistant (PA) and Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) programs including counseling prospective students on financial aid packages and responding to billing inquiries.
  • Plan and oversee all Financial Literacy Events; coordinate loan vendors for student debt counseling and assist with student exit interview process.
  • Work in collaboration with HR on the processing of Employee Educational Benefits.
  • Coordinate communication and outreach from SFS including award notification emails.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience
