Job Summary:

The Accommodations Coordinator (AC) is responsible for providing accommodations for all students served by the Office of Accommodations and Accessibility. This includes testing accommodations, note taking, tutoring, and access to disability-related technology. The AC is responsible for recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of professional and student staff. The AC reviews disability documentation and determines appropriate accommodations. The AC works directly with the Director, Assistant Directors, Learning Specialists, and faculty and staff to ensure that all aspects of students’ accommodations are met.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field
  • 3-5 years related experience

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate all aspects of accommodated testing including scheduling of rooms, proctors, readers, and securing required technology. Reviews disability documentation and determines appropriate accommodations.
  • Coordinate all aspects of note taking services and accommodations. Purchase, maintain, and manage all assistive technology and adaptive equipment/furniture including Livescribe Pens, Glean, note taking apps, and alternate format textbooks, and provide training for students utilizing the technology and equipment.
  • Track and submit all data on student testing and other accommodation usage for mid-year and annual reporting.
  • Communicate regularly with faculty, staff, and students regarding accommodations services and procedures, and provide ongoing training for the same. Participate in committee work in and out of the Office of Accommodations and Accessibility regarding major events, including the Learning Support Program Open House and New Student Orientation. Support committee work in and outside the Office as required.
  • Recruit and provide ongoing training, supervision, and evaluation for all professional staff, graduate and undergraduate employees.
  • Manage hours, time sheet, payroll, and budgeting for all employees, including peer tutors assigned by the Academic Learning Center.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Master's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field

    • Typical eligibility requirements: 1 year of service and 1,000 hours with Marist University.
  • 403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity – Roth option available. Voluntary, up to IRS maximum contribution.
  • Tuition Benefits:
    • Up to 16 undergraduate credits per semester. Up to 18 graduate credit per academic calendar. Eligibility extends to employee, spouse, and dependent children under age 26.
    • University pays 100% tuition only.
    • Eligible dependents may be Reimbursed up to $2,000 per semester towards tuition at another accredited institution.

*Eligibility requirements including waiting periods and/or employee probationary periods may apply at the discretion of the University.
