Senior Associate Director, Student Financial Services

Job Summary:

This position supports the operational and regulatory functions of Student Financial Services, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional financial aid regulations. The position maintains a current and thorough knowledge of all Title IV and state aid programs and oversees key financial aid processing functions including verification, FAFSA discrepancies/conflicting information, Professional Judgements, and R2T4 processing. The position also manages student-athlete financial aid compliance, enrollment-related financial aid adjustments, staff training initiatives, and other compliance-related operational functions within Student Financial Services.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain and report on regulatory financial aid compliance control for Student Financial Services, including oversight of federal, state, and institutional financial aid compliance training and regulatory update and coordination with institutional research for external survey reporting
  • Oversee verification, FAFSA discrepancies/conflicting information, Professional Judgements, and R2T4 processing, including management of tracking, forms, and regulatory review
  • Manage financial aid compliance and enrollment monitoring for student-athletes, including coordination with Athletics and oversight of NCAA-related financial aid regulations.
  • Oversee enrollment-related financial aid processing for less than anticipated enrollment, PT traditional undergraduate students, loan prorations, and other enrollment status related adjustments.
  • Coordinate and oversee federal financial aid consumer information and reporting requirements, including Financial Value Transparency and Net Price Calculator maintenance.
  • Support staff learning and development initiatives through training, guidance, documentation, and ongoing regulatory education for Student Financial Services staff.
  • Oversight of the loan center
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • 403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity – Roth option available. Voluntary, up to IRS maximum contribution.
  • Tuition Benefits:
    • Up to 16 undergraduate credits per semester. Up to 18 graduate credit per academic calendar. Eligibility extends to employee, spouse, and dependent children under age 26.
    • University pays 100% tuition only.
    • Eligible dependents may be Reimbursed up to $2,000 per semester towards tuition at another accredited institution.

*Eligibility requirements including waiting periods and/or employee probationary periods may apply at the discretion of the University.
