Job Summary:
|
The Media Center Technician is responsible for maintaining and supporting the college’s audio/visual equipment, resources, and services. This position provides technical support to students, faculty, and staff, ensuring reliable operation of media resources for academic and administrative purposes. The technician will be responsible for the setup, troubleshooting, and repair of various audiovisual and multimedia systems and technologies within the media center and across campus.

Minimum Qualifications:
|
- Associate’s degree in Electronic Technology, Information Technology or Audio/ Video Production or a related field
- 5-7 years of work experience and/or industry certifications
- Valid driver's license required
|
Essential Functions:
|
- Equipment Maintenance: Set up, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot audio-visual (AV) equipment, multimedia systems, and other related technology used within the Media Center, classrooms, and event spaces.
- Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to students, faculty, and staff for equipment usage, software issues, and general troubleshooting in both the Media Center and classrooms.
- Training & Assistance: Assist faculty and staff in the use of multimedia tools for teaching and presentations. Provide training on the proper setup and usage of AV equipment.
- Event Support: Setup and support multimedia and AV equipment for campus events, presentations, lectures, or conferences.
- Media Resource Management: Ensure that all AV resources such as projectors, computers, sound systems, video cameras, and other devices are in working order and ready for use. Assist supervisors with product and parts procurement.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, inventory, and support tickets.
- System Updates: Collaborate with campus partners to implement updates, system enhancements, and maintenance procedures for AV equipment and software.
- Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
|
- Bachelor’s degree Electronic Technology, Information Technology or Audio/ Video Production or a related field
- 3-5 years of work experience and/or industry certifications

- Tuition Benefits:
- Up to 16 undergraduate credits per semester. Up to 18 graduate credit per academic calendar. Eligibility extends to employee, spouse, and dependent children under age 26.
- College pays 100% tuition only.
- Eligible dependents may be Reimbursed up to $2,000 per semester towards tuition at another accredited institution.
*Eligibility requirements including waiting periods and/or employee probationary periods may apply at the discretion of the College.
