Job Summary:

The Assistant Director of Graduate Admission will recruit, counsel and mentor prospective graduate students throughout the enrollment funnel. Primary focus will be working with doctorate/master’s programs offered through the School of Science. This individual will prepare and deliver presentations about Marist College and participate in conversion activities to assist in the attainment of annual enrollment goals. Travel for graduate fairs and conferences will be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 1 - 3 years of relevant work experience 

Essential Functions:

  • Reviewing applications in a timely manner.
  • Counsel and follow up with prospective students.
  • Maintain and update all related databases in a timely and effective fashion.
  • Participate in conversion activities to assist in the attainment of annual enrollment goals.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations about Marist.
  • Prepare reports as needed to monitor status of applicants, activities, and projects.
  • Represent all graduate programs at college/career fairs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field and work experience in higher education
  • A flexible schedule is necessary, as evening and weekend hours will be required
  • Expected to have a positive attitude, good analytical ability, and a strong work ethic
  • Must be comfortable speaking with people in-person and on the phone and have strong written communication skills

  • 403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity – Roth option available. Voluntary, up to IRS maximum contribution.
  • Tuition Benefits:
    • Up to 16 undergraduate credits per semester. Up to 18 graduate credit per academic calendar. Eligibility extends to employee, spouse, and dependent children under age 26.
    • College pays 100% tuition only.
    • Eligible dependents may be Reimbursed up to $2,000 per semester towards tuition at another accredited institution.

*Eligibility requirements including waiting periods and/or employee probationary periods may apply at the discretion of the College.
