Salary/Pay Rate:

$1,213 per 1 credit with upward adjustment for years of service at Marist College. Pay may vary depending on credits pertaining to online, graduate, music, or lab courses. 

Job Summary:

Marist College invites applications for the position of Part-Time Faculty, World Languages and Cultures. Teaching 1- 3 language courses at the beginners, intermediate, and advanced level in the target language.

Minimum Qualifications:

A M.A. degree in the target language or related field, experience teaching the language at the secondary or college level, native or near native fluency.

Essential Functions:

Teaching 1- 3 language courses at the beginners, intermediate, and advanced level in Italian.

About the Department/School:

The Department of World Languages and Cultures is housed within the School of Liberal Arts along with departments in English, History, Philosophy, and Political Science. The department offers majors and minors in Spanish, French, and Italian as well as courses in American Sign Language, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, German, Russian and Latin at various levels. Students in our Spanish, French, and Italian programs are usually double majors in Teacher Education, Business, Fashion, History, Political Science, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, and Biomedical Sciences among others. The department works very closely with Marist Abroad to support Marist programs at Florence and Madrid.
