Job Summary:

The Fashion Program at Marist College invites applications for Adjunct Instructors in Fashion Design/Fashion Merchandising.  The current opening is for a Professional Lecturer of Textiles, commencing January 22, 2019 through May 17, 2019.  Course meetings are Monday and Thursday from 8AM-9:15AM and 9:30AM-10:45AM. Course content includes textile science, including fiber, textile structures, textile identification, end use within the fashion industry, new textile technology, and other topics relevant to undergraduate study.  

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, industry experience and a commitment to student-centered education.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree. 

Preferred candidates will have five years or more years of industry experience in their area of expertise, and preferably some teaching experience.

The Marist College Fashion Program has been ranked among the top 50 fashion programs globally, according to the Business of Fashion.  The program includes 500 majors in fashion design and fashion merchandising and regularly achieves accolades from YMA/Fashion Fund, the CFDA and other important fashion industry organizations.  Students explore internships, study abroad and extensive academic opportunities in design, merchandising, business, product development and fashion communications.
